Capacity Building

We will work to empower our community by recognizing the skills and resources in our community and finding ways to catalyze individual capacity to make strides toward a stronger social and economic community. Our focus areas include but are not limited to: residential development, commercial development, civil development (includes updating our infrastructure - water, sewer, roads, bridges, etc), and promoting self-sufficiency by developing workforce capacity through education and skill-building.

Environmental Justice

We are the people of the Big Horn Mountains and for that we will forever be grateful especially because we still remain on our original homelands. It is our duty and responsibility to care for the land that has raised us. We are dedicated to caring for our land because we know that what impacts the land impacts us. Our focus areas include but are not limited to: land back and resources back, affordable alternative clean energy/renewable energy, support carbon reduction, climate adaptation, as well as food, water, and energy sovereignty.

Cultural Preservation

As Bíiluuke, we are rich in our culture and people. It is our generational responsibility to contribute to any efforts that improve the livelihoods of our nation with a holistic approach. We understand that we are all connected and our way of life is at the root and foundation of it all. We are committed to awakening pathfinders to revitalize our sovereign nation that will rely on traditional knowledge and wisdom in a fast, evolving modern society. Our focus area is Bíiluuke empower, preservation, and revitalization that includes but is not limited to: healing, language, culture, traditional economies, governance, self-empowerment, investing in Apsáalooke youth, and sustaining our Apsáalooke way of life whether it is spiritually, physically, or  emotionally.

Our logo is inpsired by what brought us together and that is energy. As Bíiluuke, we get our medicine and power from the sun. We wanted to ensure the sun was reflected with 13 rays representing our original clans. We also have our classic Crow rosette with an hourglass design and white outline which is quintessential Crow style.
